Art,Gorillas, Flowers, and Paper Air Planes.

We decided to take it easy this weekend and we stayed at home quite a bit.

We had little trouble staying preoccupied, after all, I have a house full of art supplies.

We began our weekend with drawing.

This is Forrest's picture. He claims that it is a rookaburro (I think he meant Kookaburra) with a hat on it.

Nathan told me that his is a Crab Car Bat Bird Ultimate Mystery Barrow. (What ever that means.)

After drawing, we color coordinated our toy gorillas.

Can we all say Obsessive Compulsive Disorder together?

By Saturday evening we were a bit bored, so we took a little road trip to our new land and fed the catfish in the pond. We were pleasantly surprised to find these delicate purple flowers covering the ground.

If you want to read a wonderful story about the memory these flowers brought flooding back to me, then you can go to Suzanne's Birthday Blog.

And now much to my chagrin, it is Sunday. We went and had a wonderful Mexican Lunch at Cozymel Mexican Grill. And then returned home to make paper airplanes.

This is Forrest showing a close up comparison between the plane I made for him (the smaller streamline one) and the plane he made for himself.
Nathan was all smiles when I finished making his paper airplane.
See look and the stream lines. Yep, it made a few loop tee loops and then crashed to the floor.
This is Nathans Boat Airplane. Of course he made it by himself.
Forrest was taking aim for a precision flight.
Forrest was very proud of the plane he made for himself, and I must say, I was impressed too.

So that concludes our weekend funitudes. Now we have to get ready and go to open house at school. Wish me luck! Have a great remainder of the weekend, and as for my Aussie friends, have a fabulous Monday.

The fun never ends around there!

The boys should wait 'til you're asleep and draw funny pictures on you.

Ha!

How I would laugh.

How I would laugh too, but I must admit, my favorite thing of all is the color coordinated toy gorillas. Why? Because they remind me of colored pencils or crayons in a box, all except that wayward green little bastard at the beginning!!! What's he doing out of order?! You march right back over to the green section buddy.

I also love the mattresses, cuz I know what they mean. Remember what I recommended. You'll thank me a million time. Trust me! Yes honey, your welcome.

Cece, last night was the best conversation every!!! Oh my God you made me laugh and this morning Rob woke up and the first thing he said was, swear to God, "We should call Cece and tell her we scanned the newspaper for the crime report. She wasn't in it!" Yup, I'm still laughing. Now that's too funny. We love you baby. And thanks for the laughs.

Hang in there with Dad, sis, the neighbor and life in general. We're always just a phone call away and like my dad always tells me, "The pleasure is all mine (ours)."

Love you to bits,
Suze XO ;)

Great post. Hedgehog would ADORE those gorillas. I'm going to show her tomorrow. When does school start for you? Hedgie's doesn't start till September 8, crazy, right?

Look at you, little miss creative honeybunch! Looks like SO much fun! I have never been any good at making paper planes, so I look on yours with as much jealousy as I can muster.

The gorillas are the best, though.

Hope you managing with everything, honey-b.

Happy First Day Of School to the Boys! Yippie! Girls, fun, science, oh, and did I mention girls! Okay, I'm just kidding. But you'll understand 10 years from now. God bless your mother and father. Yup, you'll understand that 10 years from now too! I bet you smell all clean and fresh after mommy scrubbed summer from you! Good luck and have a terrific year.

XO to Cece too! ;)

Awesome phone conversation. Thanks for calling on such a difficult day and making me laugh. Oh, and the best...making Rob laugh. He walked in, I told him what you said, he picked up the phone and called you without hesitation and you made him laugh harder. He really needed that. He said "I've written so many motions today I'm sick!" You made a difficult day for him so much better. Thank you sweetie. You done good!!!

XO

Hey you! Where are you?! Just missin you?! You must still be ok...I see you had phone sex...ummm I mean phone conversation with Suze and Rob! Sorry my lame attempt to make humor! You can slap me in the back of the head (just not too hard) later for being so cheeky!
Come by!
Hugs!

G'day guys,
Wow! What a fun weekend you all had. Sorry i haven't been here in awhile. It's been very busy in Aussie Land. I like Forrest's picture of a Kookaburra with a hat on. That's very sensible for a Kookaburra to wear a hat out in the hot sun.

I reckon the paper airplanes are cool. I didn't know that you could get a paper airplane to do loop de loops. How clever of Nathan to make a Boat Airplane. They can land anywhere they want :)

just what kind of crazy flowers are those?!?!?!

Cece said...

Hey everyone, I've been super busy at work and home this week and I really haven't had much time to blog.
Those are passion fruit flowers. They are breath takingly beautiful. If it would stop raining around here I would take my camera out to the land and take pictures of the passion fruit flower covered ground. Did that sentence make sense? It has been raining since Tuesday, so I would most likely get my 4x4 stuck in the mud if I went out there right now. Anyway, I am hoping to post something new soon. I miss all of you too!

Okay, that's it, I'm going to have to kick Robyn's ass. Phone sex? I don't thing so!!! Look, Cece and I enjoy talking to one another. She makes me laugh out loud. And Rob? He loves Cece like he loves my sister Cher because she's a hoot. Cece is so funny...realy, you have no idea! Just the simple stuff makes us laugh! And that's what life should be. A joy.

Thanks Cece. Love ya!
