Don't walk with rose colored glasses.
For life is not always good.
Things go wrong
And nobody is acting the way we think they should.
Don't walk with rose colored glasses.
It's the hard way we must all learn.
They come at you with a smile upon their face
But inside of them, it's their soul that burns.
I've taken my rose colored glasses
And I've stomped them into the ground.
'Cause when I wore them, it seems to me,
My world would turn upside down.
Don't walk with rose colored glasses.
They show no truth and only lies.
'Cause in the end every child, woman, and man
To escape this world, they all must die.
This was my cause of sleeplessness last night.
Maybe that is why my head has ached all day long.

hey babe,
the weather here today is qite ok...not fantastic but perfectly liveable.
did you write the poem?
sometimes we need to keep our rose coloured glasses, they help us to have hope. you just need to know when to use them and when not.
i liked the pic, what an amazing rock formation!! ah, the romance of nature :)
I was born and raised in the west back life was harder and we were poor. But we always had a little food. And each other.
Funny thing is that it never did bother me that we were poor. Until I moved back in with my richer parents that treated their kids like shit.
Then I learned what poor was, I didn't know what it was before that.
Well, maybe I didn't explain that very well but I was happier living with my poor grandparents than I was with my richer parents.
I'm not poor now, at least I don't think so even if others do. I have friends and love here that money can't buy.
As for rose colored glasses, life can be harsh, deal with it. Many on this planet are homeless and 20 to 30 thousand people a day die of starvation.
If you have a roof over your head and a meal a day be thankful.
I do, and I often only eat only one meal a day. I eat to live, not live to eat.
But it allows this bum to try to help feed starving women and children.
Kylie, Yes, the poem is mine. I was feeling quite pessimistic when I wrote it, but I never feel that way for long.
BBC, You really have lived 250 years worth in 64. My dad used to tell me stories about living through the depression. They were one of the lucky families that had home grown veggies and wild game. He said that his mother used to feed the hobo's. She always tried to give to those less fortunate. I never met her, she died before I was born, but I have always thought that she was a remarkable woman, and I try to live up to the examples she set in my Dad's stories. I hope you have charished memories of your grandparents.
